This CNA Prep Course prepares students to pass Florida’s Board of Nursing assistant state exam. This fast-paced course provides the student an opportunity to review essential materials, practice necessary patient care skills, and complete practice written exams. Once a student has completed this course they will have the option to challenge the state exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Once the class starts we are not able to provide a refund. However, prior to the start of class a 20% fee will be charged for processing and university fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

1. If I do not have a High School diploma or GED, can I still become a licensed NA?

A High School diploma or GED is NOT required to take the State exam.

 

2. I have something that may show up on my background check. Can I still become a licensed NA?

Answer: In the case of applicants with a criminal history, there are documents that you may be asked to submit to the Florida Board of Nursing.

 

3. Do you offer Financial Aid?

We do not offer financial aid; however, we offer payment plans on most of our programs. For our NA prep training program, you may register online by paying the registration fee of $50.00, and the remaining balance of $300.00 will be due on the first day of class. (please note that all registration fees are non-refundable).

 

4. How long is the NA exam prep training?

 Our NA exam prep training is only 2-week/32hr , Monday-Thursday 6:00 pm -10:00 pm or a slower pace

Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 4pm for 4 weeks.

 

5. How can I possibly learn everything I need to know in such a short time?

Our NA exam prep training is led by qualified instructors and designed to accommodate as many learning styles as possible in the most efficient way. Practice times are included if a student would like additional practice after the NA exam prep training.

 

6.Our NA Prep Exam Training Course is an accelerated 2-weeks training course designed to accommodate students who might need a refresher course or those who know they can grasp information quickly. Students are not required to pass an entrance exam or complete a 40-hour practicum. A high school diploma or GED is not required. Students must pass the State Exam to become a Nursing Assistant (NA).

 

7. What if I took the class somewhere else already but needed a refresher class?

Students can not transfer into any of our programs.

 

8. Are there any additional costs?

The Level 2 fingerprinting, background checks, and State testing fees are paid directly to those agencies. The Level 2 fingerprinting and background fees average $90.00 and are renewed every five years. The State testing fee is $155.

 

9. Can I challenge the exam?

Testing candidates are urged to complete a NA or NA exam prep training course before taking the State exam.

 

10. What if I have an out-of-state driver's license?

 That's no problem; you will still be licensed in Florida when taking the Florida Nurse Aide exam.

 

11. Is CPR included?

No, CPR is not included in our NA prep training course because some individuals are already CPR certified. We do, however, offer CPR training and certification for $65 for our students. Although CPR certification is not needed to sit for the State exam, CPR certification is required to work in a healthcare setting.
